The Medical Specialists Department of Pulmonary Medicine provides inpatient and outpatient diagnosis, consultation, evaluation and state-of-the-art treatment for a wide range of lung conditions, lung diseases and lung cancer. Our Indiana pulmonary medicine physicians provide full-service care that includes prevention, early diagnosis, treatment and education. In addition to the screenings and tests necessary to make a proper diagnosis, we work effortlessly to treat and educate the patient about their disease. If necessary, we also work closely with other specialists such as surgeons and oncologists to coordinate your care. Our pulmonary medicine department also includes a full-service pulmonary function laboratory, which is staffed by expertly trained and certified pulmonary function technologists, under the direction of our Indiana pulmonary medicine physicians. Our pulmonary function technologists also provide disease management education, including education on how to use inhalers and smoking cessation techniques.
To evaluate the lung disease state of new patients and evaluate the disease progression of existing patients, we utilize the technology of numerous screening tests. These tests aid our physicians in the early detection of lung disease and lung cancer. Our state of the art screening tests include pulmonary function tests, chest CT scans and a sleep disorder assessment.
