Center for Advanced Evaluation of Diabetes Mellitus
The Center for Advanced Evaluation of Diabetes Mellitus of Medical Specialists is an all-inclusive diabetes treatment center designed to better evaluate our patients' disease progression and control diabetic complications. At the Center, all diabetic patients undergo a thorough screening process that includes extensive lab work, a diabetic retinopathy screening test (a test that detects a condition that may cause blindness in diabetic patients), a complete cardiovascular assessment and a neurological assessment for at-risk patients. As patient education is key in managing and treating diabetes, the Center is staffed by a certified diabetic educator who provides comprehensive disease management education, nutrition counseling, education on blood sugar testing and the use of diabetes medications, insulin and insulin pumps.
Since diabetes is a serious medical condition that can harm virtually every organ in the human body, our endocrinologists developed a comprehensive screening program to evaluate the overall wellness of each bodily system. This screening program uses the most sophisticated diagnostic services to monitor our patients' health and enhance their quality of life.
